This hotel was not very clean at all and things that were broken in the room had been hastily fixed rather then properly fixed . For example the smoke detector in the room had been duck taped back together . If this site would allow me to give a lower score I would

I could hear the guy next door coughing all night - so the walls are too thin.

Staff and owner were very friendly and were actually ready for us when we arrived, as we booked the room just before we arrived late at night around 11:30 pm. The pool area seemed nice but we didn't have time to use it and left early next morning.

The "continental breakfast" left much to be desired, however, it was sufficient to get us on our way.

I'm don't usually pick at things when I stay at places as I know that mistakes happen and no one's perfect...I used to work in this industry for 20 years...it wouldn't have been so bad but first off...the description of the the breakfast was all wrong and disappointing...plus I was sick from it for 2 days that I was there...then later that night when we were looking for outlets we found a pair of mens xl underwear behind the dresser that holds the tv that I put my hand into! along with wrappers and utensils behind the head board, dressers and night stands...super grossed out and disappointed...the room looked nice until then and the sheets had stains on them...:o( ...I tried to let that go UNTIL I thought maybe if we went to the pool I might feel better...it wasn't even 9:30 and we did notice there wasn't overhead lights on but thought maybe they were just letting people know it was getting close as it was a sunday night...the pool lights were on and the door was unlocked ...hot tub was running ...and it said until 10pm...and we no sooner got into the hot tub...but then a gal from the front desk came charging in and waving her arms yelling that the pool was closed! and STORMED OUT! no where was there a sign...how would we know? she made us feel stupid and like little kids sneaking in...and she was RUDE about it...it was one of the reasons we picked you motel...for the pool..and we weren't able to use it the first nights we were there...needless to say...I was super peeved and didn't get any sleep the more I thought about it...it was the first time EVER I couldn't wait to leave a place just to get home....WORST EXPERIENCE EVER!!

The staff was very helpful. And my meal in The Gardens was very tasty.

The pool and hot tub were scummy & unclean around the edges. The tub barely drained while showering. The shower faucet didn't turn off completely. The grass/weeds that made up the lawn were over a foot tall. The towels smelled funky. The TV had a blown speaker and was hard to hear anything without a squeal.

Folks were nice.

The facilities is old and in need of remodeling.

The motel is getting "tired" looking. There were large spots on the upholstered chairs and a light bulb was burned out.
